8.30am – 10am ‘Landings’
Day two of the festival starts with our fantastic historic reenactment celebrating all people who came to Akaroa to start new lives in our beautiful Horomaka. We tell their stories, celebrate their arrivals and share their heritage.
Akaroa Community Arts Council produces what has truly become a firm favourite of the French Festival. The Wellington Sea Shanty Society and World Famous MulletMan will lead our cast of brave locals and surprise stars! Telling the histories of our ancestors.
Shout out to all descendants of those first voyageurs – Mana Whenua, French, German, British – anyone who’d like to take part in the play – get in touch, it’s such a fun experience for young and old!

This is a completely free event to attend, produced by our good friends and partners, Akaroa Community Arts Council. We would very much appreciate your donation to enable this amazing piece of theatre to continue.
