Akaroa French Festival is so excited to bring Le Petit Cabaret to you once again as a taste of bigger things to come at French Festival 2026!
Join us at Akaroa’s heritage Gaiety Theatre for a fun and sparkling lineup of comedy, burlesque, music and dance. Hosted by international favourites, Mulletman and Mim. They are fresh from the Edinburgh Festival and ready to wow us with circus shenanigans!
Local legends The Vinyl Countdown featuring Gareth Thomas of Goodshirt. Laughs and a good old dance are guaranteed.
Incomparable Burlesque from Bonita Dangerdoll! Seduction runs in her veins, as well as her love for DANGER!
Moulin Rouge comes to Akaroa with The Entertainment Company – Le Can Can, music and dance!
And closing the evening with everyone dancing to The Corner Sounds! A talented 4-piece band that will provide an upbeat and engaging atmosphere.
Dress code is formal, party dress. This will be a fun evening!

There is an option to pre-order a delicious and plentiful antipasti platter prepared by the chefs at The Madeira Hotel. You will be able to collect from 6pm when the doors open.
$35 Available as a 2-Person Antipasti platter for either meat lovers or vegetarians. Marinated artichokes and mushroom pate replace the meat options for vegetarians.
Served with bread and crackers.
The lovely folks at The Common will run the bar for us: beer, wine and soft drinks will be available.
